The Tornados have been keeping women's hockey going "downriver" for what seems like forever. Besides their Sunday morning league in Lincoln Park, they host a women-only drop-in on Tuesday nights from 9pm-10:30pm for a mere $8 per skater and goalies play for free! It's all happening at the Southgate Arena.
Forget worrying about being clocked by some goon with missing teeth. The Troy Sports Center has women-only drop-in every Friday mid-morning, 9-10am. If you want to play with the boys, of course, there's regular drop-in from 6:45-7:45am every day, so hey have at it...
OK, so Suburban Farmington might not have updated their "women's drop in" page since last summer. But don't worry, because the monthly activity calendar is always up-to-date. Friday nights, 8-9:30pm. Sessions are limited to 24 skaters and 4 goalies, max. So you'll actually skate instead of ride the pine, what a concept!
