House League

Based at Suburban Farmington, the Michigan IceBreakers Girls Hockey Club is the only girls-only house hockey league in the state. There is a 12U division, a 13+ division, a learn-to-skate program for brand new players ages 4-8 and ages 6-10, plus a 'development' house-select program for those looking for an extra evening of instruction and an ocassional non-house game.

High School Hockey

None of the high school affiliated teams currently provide for girls to 'letter' in hockey...yet, but that doesn't mean you're not 'playing for your school'. Similar to the club teams, there are different divisions of skill/play, all managed under the auspices of the Michigan Metro Girls High School Hockey League.

travel AA/AAA "Club" Hockey

For girls, there are "club" teams that typically have 10U, 12U, 14U, 16U and 19U teams competing at the AA and AAA level through the Little Caesars Amateur Hockey League. These teams are typically vying for state and national tournament seeding. Some of these teams are girls-only teams that otherwise skate as part of a largely boys-only hockey association, while others have no support or affiliation to the youth (read: boys) hockey association that shares their rink. If you have a club that you'd like me to link here, please email me and let me know.
